AimBrain is delighted to announce that its two co-founders – Andrius Sutas, CEO and Alesis Novik, CTO – have been included on this year’s prestigious Forbes European Technology 30 Under 30 list of ‘disruptors, entrepreneurs and innovators’.
In its third year, The European Technology list features 300 young entrepreneurs and disruptors, from 34 countries across Europe, all of whom have been recognised for their outstanding capabilities and talent across ten categories including technology, finance and retail. Randall Lane, Editor of Forbes and CCO at Forbes Media, sees the individuals not just as having the capability to change their own industries, but capable of ‘reshaping Europe, and the world, for the better’.
The list was distilled by a panel of expert judges in each of the categories, including renowned business leader, Arianna Huffington. Honourees were judged on ‘leadership and disruption; entrepreneurial mind-set and results; and the likelihood of changing their field over the next half-century’, according to Forbes.
“In addition to receiving thousands of online nominations, our reporters combed the European continent for leading innovators in all ten fields”, added Lane. He continues: “Our industry-leading judges distilled the shortlist to 300 outstanding individuals that are changing the world”.
AimBrain’s Andrius Sutas, 26, CEO and co-founder, and Alesis Novik, 28, CTO and co-founder, were both included in the European Technology 30 Under 30, alongside other extraordinary talent spanning finance, artificial intelligence, global communications and security.
“I am honoured to have been selected for this accolade,” said Sutas today. “Alesis and I have built a company around our vision for a simpler, smarter way to authenticate, using a Biometric Identity as-a-Service (BIDaaS) approach centred on an algorithmically-derived digital identity in the cloud. We want to revolutionise security, making it simpler and safer for the customer whilst ensuring that the company is authenticating the person, not the device. We see AimBrain as one day eliminating passwords entirely by authenticating any transaction against a single version of a digital identity, ultimately letting a customer login via any channel using their biometric data.”
Novik believes that it is the company’s heart in artificial intelligence that has led to this success. “When Andrius and I envisioned AimBrain, we knew at its core would be research; PhD level scientists and cutting-edge machine learning techniques. Our algorithms are trained to self-evolve. Every time our code is used, with every authentication request – whether behavioural, voice or face – it is learning more contexts, recognising more subtle nuances that could be fraudulent transactions, and improving its accuracy.”
