AimBrain Debuts Biometric Authentication Modules on G-Cloud 10 Digital Marketplace

tl;dr: AimBrain made the G-Cloud 10 - a digital marketplace that makes it easier for governments and public sector organisations to find and select technology partners.

AimBrain today  announced its successful appointment to the Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud 10 framework, the digital marketplace for UK public sector procurement.

AimBrain’s suite of Biometric Identity as-a-Service (BIDaaS) modules, which include facial authentication, voice authentication and behavioural authentication, has been listed within the G-Cloud 10 Cloud Software Digital Marketplace.

Antony Bream, Global Head of Enterprise and New Business at AimBrain, is delighted to see the company’s debut listing on the platform that facilitates interconnectivity between SMEs and Government and public sector companies. He said:

“With data breaches at an all time high, it is no wonder that we are seeing a higher demand by public sector organisations to start migrating to biometric authentication. The Financial Services sector has already proved that consumers are willing to move away from PINs and passwords and start using selfies and voice recordings, so it is important for other consumer-facing audiences to follow suit and reduce identity fraud.”

AimBrain helps organisations to bolster security in a simple and convenient way, by using face, voice or behavioural authentication techniques to prevent fraud. Its templatised model puts biometric data into the cloud as a non-reversible alphanumeric code, and future requests are converted into code and compared on a 1:1 basis.

“This means that AimBrain does not need to hold any raw biometric data, which is critical in today’s privacy-first environment”, continued Bream.

“We can compare one template against another and return a likely match score, in whatever scenario an organisation needs to be sure that the user is who they say they are. This could be access privileges, workflow approvals, in-session transaction approvals, new employee onboarding; the use cases are varied”.

AimBrain’s technology can also be tested in a free integration sandbox, AimBrain On Demand, helping public sector organisations trial implementations and test biometrics before embarking upon a procurement process.
